RailFest Night Shoot was a success!

I had an absolute blast working with the team over at the Texas State Railroad in Rusk, TX over the weekend. We did a night photography workshop showing off many of the great Steam Locomotives that are in actual usage there. This place is special, and shooting it at night only makes it even more so.

We had over 60 attendees for the night shot and we had a lot of fun. We did a variety of shooting and lighting techniques in order to give everyone an idea of what is possible to do at night. The trains just completed everything, since their awe and power is overwhelming in it’s own right, photographing them is just icing on the cake.

Thanks to everyone who came out and thanks to Dave for letting us do this!
