God’s Tears

Abandoned Church in West Texas

I am not a religious person, but I will say that standing in front of this abandoned church here making this photograph, I witnessed something that many would call a miracle.

I was overwhelmed with emotions on this night as I stood witness to several large fireballs shoot across the sky, just as I was photographing this lovely church in a remote area of West Texas.

Turns out that I not only caught one, but upon closer inspect, there are three visible in the frame, all streaking towards the church in the foreground. To me, they seemed as if God was crying and so that is what I named it.
