Beckoning Winds

My first trip to New Mexico’s City of Rocks State Park, happened by complete chance. I was out scouting central and southern parts of the state when I saw a sign for this state park. I was intrigued as I’ve shot the Rock City park of Kansas and so I wondered what New Mexico’s version would be like. Well, I was amazed by it honestly. It’s absolutely one of the most unknown and undershot spots. This was on a full moon evening that was marred by clouds for most of the night, but for brief moments the clouds would break and race by, leaving short time to frame and capture your shot.
