Road To Nowhere

On a  road to nowhere is the only way I can describe driving to this small but yet beautifully intact ghost town in rural Mississippi. Located near several other prominent port towns along the Mississippi River, this small town died a slow and painful death when the great river changed course away from the town.

Today, it sits quietly in the woods as the foliage and kudzu slowly reclaim this land once controlled by Choctaw indians who used the land as a primary crossing point across the river.

There are still several structures intact, including two beautiful churches, a general store, a drugstore, filling station,  and several other dilapidated structures the are unidentified.
