Sunflower Field of Dreams
This field of sunflowers made for a striking foreground in front of a beautiful setting sun. I used a bit of fill light in conjunction a hand-held technique to block the upper portion of the frame and thus act like an in-camera HDR effect.
Studhorse Point
This was such a unique place with fascinating hoodoos all over the place. Overlooking Lake Powell in the distance, these hoodoos stand tall in the night, accented by colored glow sticks and the faint glow of Page, Arizona in the background.
Croatian Dawn
This is actually not a small old church in some Croatian province. It’s actually a new church and is the middle of the Dallas Metroplex! It was actually modeled after a real church and surrounding community in Croatia. The bell is a real historic piece and was imported over just for this project.
Fins to the left
I was treated to a sunset that had so many different color hues and looks to it, as it progressed below the horizon. Wait 2 minutes and it would look completely different. Here, I used a telephoto lens to compress the background a bit and bring these enormous turbines up close.
