Segregation still happens in the South – as witnessed here by two different species of marine animals who refuse to share the same section of this abandoned pier on the Gulf Coast.
On the point outside of Bay St. Louis at sundown, I found this nice and tranquil little spot to sit and soak my toes. I figured while I was there doing that, I might as well take a photo too!

Eruption! Actually, this is Spouting Horn off the Western Coast of Kauai. A natural water feature where the tidal surge comes in and is blown out the top creating an impressive display. I used a red-gelled speedlight to give the white water a red cast thus making it look like a volcanic eruption.
The Kilauea Lighthouse works tirelessly through the night and has been doing so for over a hundred years.
