This is the 3:10 a.m. express freight train coming into the small, dusty and historic town of Chillicothe, TX. On this night, the full moon was just rising over the horizon and helped to accentuate the bold colors from the crossing gate.

After shooting this old blacksmith’s shed from the inside, I’d left the lantern I was using, hanging inside. Once I got out to the outside, I noticed a very cool pattern of light emanating from within. After a few tries to get the right exposure and framing, it turned out pretty neat.
