Luminary Breeze
In Texas, these types of windmills are everywhere. However, on route to another location for the sunset, I stumbled on this one which had beautiful light accenting it’s silhouette against the horizon. I pulled over and shot this handheld.

Peggy Sue
A restored gas station in Dennison, TX makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time.

9th Ward at night
This was shot quickly as I was standing in the middle of a road in a very bad area of the 9th ward. This was shot not long after Katrina and the entire area had become a cesspool of crime and lawlessness. Even still, the beauty this city has, still shines though.

Bridge over troubled waters
The bridge going into New Orleans as shot from the French Quarter. This bridge has been filmed and photographed countless times, but hopefully I’ve brought something new to the table, here. Touchdown Jesus
Geaux Saints! This is the now infamous, touchdown Jesus as shot from the French Quarter in New Orleans. Not long after this shot, the Saints finally made it to the Super Bowl. Coincidence?

Crimson Trestle
I’d been standing with my camera and tripod, in nearly 4 feet of water for over an hour, watching this sunset “evolve”. Finally the skies reached a hue that was so overwhelming it was hard to photograph because you’re inclination is to sit back and watch it instead.

110 Loop
A late-night shot of the I-110 Loop in Biloxi. This was shot from a pier next to the casinos and shows just how this sleepy little town has been changed by the casinos.

Born on a bayou
Shot along the Biloxi river, an old river-front bar called “Jigg’s” is visible on the river at night. In the background the giant MS Power station is visible.

Radar Lover
I believe Radar Love was playing on the stereo when I hit this open stretch of highway out in the middle of nowhere. I pulled over and because of the lack of traffic, lights, absence of people, etc.. I was able to play around in the middle of the road and used a variety of [...]

Steel Horse Sky
The last shots of the evening are normally not very good. I’m usually tired and weary, and things stop look interesting when you know you still have a long drive just to get home. In this case, I’d seen this oil well earlier in the day and I knew I wanted to shoot it. I [...]
