Electrifying Evening

I’ve never had much success capturing lightning but I keep trying. On this particular evening I finally got a bit lucky and captured three really nice shots with this one being the best. This was show with a 24mm lens, so you know I was pretty close in order to capture this. It actually “snapped” so close I felt like I could actually feel the electrical charge. I had sat in the rain waiting for this storm to develop and I was soaked by the time I started getting shots. Just imagine me sitting there looking like a wet cat, with large sandwich bags over my gear – that was me sitting there. Ha!
