New website!
I’ve spent quite a bit of time lately working on what you see here. What you are viewing is a very large upgrade and code re-write from my previous website. This re-design changed both the front-end appearance as you see, as well as quite a bit of the back-end code that runs the entire show. [...]

UFO movie set
The Dallas convention center has some great architecture. This is the north entrance looking down at the building.

Jerry World
A shot of the home of SuperBowl 45 also known locally as Jerry World. This was shot from across the lake in between the stadiums. This is what this place looks like with the lights turned off.

Rollin’ on the river
Shot from atop the ridge overlooking the Under The Hill Saloon in Natchez, MS.

Light Knoll
Light trails from the DART train as it rounds the corner into Dealey Plaza. Just for reference, the infamous “grassy knoll” is in the background on the right.

Setting Pod
As the sun was setting and my target object (the train trestle) was getting darker and darker, I noticed these cool water lillies with budding pods poking up out of the water. I used a bit of fill flash here to make it stand out against the ambient background light.

Cinemark
A shot for a new Cinemark theatre in Rockwall, TX.

Serial Killer
An abandoned farm house along a dusty highway at night. That doesn’t sound too creepy, but this house was. This was shot at about 9 p.m. and it was very dark as I was exploring for the right spot to shoot from. Red ants in the dark can be brutal.

Stick in the mud
Just loved the colors and the quality of the light as the sun dropped below the horizon. Shot at ƒ1.2 which is a bit tough to nail focus, but I got lucky here.

Fairy Dust
Shot inside the courtyard of the Methodist Church on 5th street in Fort Worth. This was a bit challenging because of the different sources of light which were coming in different directions.

Just a fortnight
This was actually shot using a telephoto lens from quite a distance. While driving around Fort Worth, I found a spot on the top of nearby hill that offered a nice unobstructed view of the skyline.

Swift Meat
The title of this piece has sort of a dual meaning. Of course the bird of prey is hunting, but this shot was actually taken at the abandoned Swift Meat packing facilities in Fort Worth’s Stockyards.

Croatian Dawn
This is actually not a small old church in some Croatian province. It’s actually a new church and is the middle of the Dallas Metroplex! It was actually modeled after a real church and surrounding community in Croatia. The bell is a real historic piece and was imported over just for this project.

Uptown
Another shot and perhaps my favorite one, from atop a 30-story building downtown. I was granted exclusive access from a good friend of mine and I hope that I was able to put that to good use here.

Veins
Looking towards the historic district from the roof of another building downtown. The freeways actually look cool from up at this height.

Matchstick
This was shot from the catwalk scaffolding atop a 30-story building downtown. Afraid of height? Nah!

Luminary Breeze
In Texas, these types of windmills are everywhere. However, on route to another location for the sunset, I stumbled on this one which had beautiful light accenting it’s silhouette against the horizon. I pulled over and shot this handheld.

Dealey Plaza Y
I’ve shot this location many times and I’d never been able to get a shot without some sort of traffic in it. Late on this fateful night I was able to do just that. All lanes are open! This is an angle of Dealey Plaza that is not offen seen which is why I like [...]

City Hall
The Dallas City Hall is one of my favorite buildings and locations to shoot downtown. This building is just very unusual and the architecture is so unique, especially for a city-owned property. This was shot on a tripod which is apparently a no-no at a lot of spots downtown now it seems. I did get [...]

Ray Hubbard
Sunset shot over lake Ray Hubbard. This is a single exposure shot, handheld.. that was pushed a bit to bring back the dynamic range a bit.
